Dr. Balkcom is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Mississippi State Board of Examiners, License # 1181. He graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary earning his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) Degree and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min). He is also an Ordained Minister and full-time Pastor at Southway Baptist Church. He has worked as a counselor since 1998. He has vast experience and training in helping individuals, couples, and families work through a wide range of therapeutic issues. Some of these issues include Marriage and Family Issues, Sleep Disorders, Conduct Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Eating Disorders, Depression, Stress Disorders, Loss and Grief issues, Sexual Problems, Chemical Dependency, and Addictive Behaviors.
Stacy Adcock is a Nationally Certified Counselor under the supervision of Dr. Richard Balkcom, LPC, MS License #1181. He has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. He is an ordained minister and serves as assistant pastor at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church. He has worked for several years in the field of education and is now pursuing his call to the counseling ministry. He enjoys helping couples to develop their communication and conflict resolution skills. He also works with couples and individuals whose lives have been impacted by trauma.
