Supporting Mental Health Through Faith Initiative
Revelation Counseling Center partners with churches, ministries, and Christian organizations to provide counseling services, workshops, and psychoeducational programs to church members, called workers, employees, and their communities. Churches and organizations may choose to contribute financially to offset the cost of a client’s treatment, if desired.
FAQs
Do you take my insurance?
I do not directly accept insurance. Services linked to insurance typically require a formal diagnosis, treatment planning, and sharing of medical records, which can affect the counseling process and progress. Not billing insurance allows me to meet your needs more fully and provide you with more individualized treatment and quality outcomes.
I am happy to work with you on a self-pay basis and provide you with necessary documentation for out of network reimbursement through your insurance, if applicable.
Do I have to be a Christian to engage in your services?
You do not need to share, practice, or integrate a Christian or other faith to engage in services with Revelation Counseling Center. My Christian faith provides me a foundation to connect with you from a Christ centered perspective, meaning I respect and support clients from all backgrounds, faiths, and in all struggles. I uphold all professional and ethical standards and engage in evidenced-based clinical strategies to support client improvement.
Do you prescribe medication?
I do not prescribe medication, but I will work with you to determine if that is something you would like to seek out and provide proper referrals if necessary.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes! Payment plans are individualized, available to all clients, and can be enrolled in at any time. Please call for more information!
How does Telehealth work?
Telehealth counseling works by connecting with you through secure video calls, phone sessions, or messaging platforms. You’ll set up an appointment just like you would for in-person therapy, but instead of meeting face-to-face, we’ll meet through secure video. Just like in-person sessions, Telehealth allows us to build rapport and to engage in services through discussions, offering support, and provide coping strategies. It’s a convenient and flexible option for those who need therapy from the comfort of their home or a private space. All you need is a stable internet connection and a device to communicate with me.
What kind of counseling do you do?
I am trained in various therapies including behavioral therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as specific training in suicidology, trauma, sports psychology, and pre-marital counseling.
